LocalMind AI is designed as an offline-first app for local AI chat, writing, learning, translation, business planning, and document analysis.

Offline-first design

Core local features are intended to work on the user's device after a compatible local model is installed. When using local models, chats are processed locally on the device.

Imported documents

Imported PDF, DOCX, and TXT documents are stored locally on the device. Document summaries, risk checks, amount extraction, and question answering are designed to run locally.

Accounts

LocalMind AI does not require account creation for local features.

Personal data sales

LocalMind AI does not sell personal data.

Network access

Optional model downloads may use network access to download model files from the configured model catalog or download source. Downloaded models are stored locally on the device.

Purchases

LocalMind may offer optional Premium purchases or subscriptions through App Store or Google Play billing. Purchases are processed by the platform provider. LocalMind does not collect or store payment card details.

User controls

Users can delete local chats, imported documents, and downloaded models from the app where those controls are available. Users can also remove app data through operating system controls.

Third parties

For local features, LocalMind AI is designed not to send chat content or imported document content to a cloud AI service. App stores may process purchase, subscription, crash, analytics, or installation information according to their own policies.
